Success Digest for Creative Mind

Taking a cue from John D. Rockefellers’ quote; ‘‘I don’t think that there is any other quality so essential to success as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.’’ We would start off by saying Success is no joke. It takes more than effective thinking and creativity; it also takes a great deal of perseverance.
That said; let’s move on to defining what success is.
Success in reality has no English grammar definition. It is defined by your own perception of the sort of life you want for yourself. To you success could be defined by how many cars you park in your garage, plots of land you’ve got, numbers of kids, PhD or Doctorate degree or the present climax of your business.
***For the record sake, to me success is the currency (not US Dollars or Pounds Sterling, but how many people you’ve impacted their life for the better) you can spend in the society so called life. It’s a reflection of you in the mirror of others. Success is best established in the lives of the people around you, it’s what they imagine when they think of you.
Success is being able to discover who you are, your passion and desires, your potentials and God given talents. Success is you defined to the entire world to reflect on.

Creativity on the other hand is the ability to think through a problem and provide a solution to it. It involves engaging your mind into accurate and serious thinking to provide ideas and insights.

”It is the ability to apply your physical and mental energies to one problem incessantly without growing weary.”…Thomas Edison.

Tools for successful and creative mind.

1.       The Vilfredo Pareto 80% /20% principle.

A Zen proverb says; the first step east is also the first step west. A lot of people in the world today have not come to realize that the true secret to productive thinking and success lies in how much you develop your mind. The fact is, 80% of the world total wealth is controlled by 20% of the world population. Here’s another fact that will stun you, a creative mind engaged in productive thinking will gain 80% advantage than someone who engage his body in labor work in lesser time.  For instance, the board of executives in a company earns 80% of the total profit made, while 20% is shared amidst the non-executive staffs. The amazing thing about this is, 80% of the profit was actually generated by the vigorous effort of non-executive staffs while the remaining 20% is due to the productive thinking of the executive. That is, by doing 20% of work, you can generate 80% of the advantage of doing the entire work.

12 Dirty Habits That Prevent You From Developing Exceptional People Skills.

INTRODUCTION

Chances are, if you’re not very successful at dealing with people, you haven’t had the chance to properly educate yourself. Learning to deal with people is like learning to walk except it requires a lot more work!

Now imagine if your whole life you had been taught to walk backwards. Would this make your life much more difficult? Of course it would. Just like anything else, you need to learn exactly how to interact with people the proper way.

Here we go: here are the 12 dirty habits you should always avoid when interacting with people.

Dirty Habit #1 –Looking down at the floor when speaking to someone. You must learn to look at someone directly in their eyes when speaking to them. If you were taught that staring at people was impolite, you’re absolutely right. However, this does not mean you can’t look at someone in his or her eyes.

Dirty Habit #2 – Slouching when you’re standing or sitting down. Stand up straight. In our society being tall is a good thing. When you slouch you appear much shorter. Not only will standing straight make you look taller but it will also give you a confident look.

Dirty Habit #3 –Frowning and not smiling enough. No one likes to spend time with someone who’s in a bad mood. If you’re not feeling too great then try to keep your distance. People love to spend time with upbeat, optimistic people. Make an effort to smile, not frown.

Dirty Habit #4 – Avoiding strangers. Since the day you were born, your parents have taught you never to speak to strangers. Well, you’re a grown up now and things have changed. In order to develop exceptional people skills you need to be comfortable speaking to all types of people. You need to meet as many people as you can.

Conflicts Resolution in Relationships.

God created human beings differently and in a peculiar way (1peter 2:9). No two human beings are the same. Moreover, we all have different backgrounds, exposure and experiences. Our differences are the reason for our disagreements which eventually leads to conflicts in relationships.
Facts about conflict:
1.       Conflict is a natural phenomenon: we are naturally different. Cain & Abel, Esau and Jacob, etc were different even though they were brothers from the same parents.
2.      Conflict is not same thing as quarrel: whenever there is conflict in a relationship, it is usually over an issue. But where there is quarrel, it means we have aggravated the issue to attacking personality. Oftentimes we allow conflict to degenerate to quarrel and it should not be so.
3.      Conflict in a relationship is an indication of deprivation of a personal need or value: we all come to a relationship with needs. Whenever a need is not met, it may result I disagreement which will lead to conflict.
4.      Conflict is a symptom: whenever there is conflict, what we need to do is to get to the root cause of the conflict. Pain (in a relationship) is an indication that something is wrong.  Don’t ever leave the parasite in the blood, go beneath the surface.

God of all flesh, made known to all men.
He rules the earth,with
splendor and righteousness.
Glorified among the nations,
worshiped by all the angles.
He seats on His throne, with Glory He watches His own.
How sweet is His loving kindness,
as He reach out to the earth with Holiness.
His love for humanity transcend understanding.
The knowledge of the Holy is peace giving, as the understanding of the Holy God is Life giving...
I stand in awe of you Lord, giving glory to your name.
You're the merciful God, faithful in our unfaithfulness, strong in our weakness & wise in our foolishness.
You're the father of all,
Be praise forever more.
